RECONCILIATION

This is one of the most special sacraments within the Catholic Faith. Through it many people are reconciled to their neighbour and to their church. It involves confessing one's sins to a priest and having a sincere desire to put the wrong right. The Church recommends that every Catholic, who has attained the age of reason, should go to confession at least once per year - usually around Easter.

The Church also encourages the use of services of reconciliation which are usually held at Easter and Advent.

Reconciliation:

The Sacrament of Reconciliation or Confession is available on any weekday morning after 10 a.m. Mass and also on a Saturday evening at 6 p.m.

An annual Reconciliation Service takes place each year during Advent on a date announced in the weekly newsletter.

Children are prepared for the Sacrament of Reconciliation in school and in the parish. First Reconciliation usually takes place after 10 a.m. Mass on Palm Sunday.

Classes for Reconciliation take place between January and March each year after 10 a.m. Sunday Mass.
